Guest Lecture on “Principles of Research Methodology”

Guest Lecture Organized at Navjeevan Law College, Nashik for LL.M. students on the topic “Principles of Research Methodology” The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. H.A. Kadri Sir, Principal of N.B. Thakur Law College, Nashik, on 13 Sept 2025.

The objective of the lecture was to orient postgraduate law students towards the fundamentals of research methodology and academic writing. Prof. Kadri Sir began with an introduction to

the meaning, objectives, and characteristics of research, explaining how systematic inquiry is essential for developing legal scholarship. He emphasized the role of research in bridging the gap between theory and practice, thereby enhancing analytical and problem-solving skills.

The lecture highlighted key distinctions between a research paper, term paper, and research project and provided practical guidance on selecting a research problem, formulating hypotheses, collecting relevant data, and presenting arguments in a logical manner. Prof. Kadri Sir stressed that good research requires clarity, objectivity, originality, and adherence to proper methodology. He also discussed common challenges faced by researchers and the importance of critical thinking in addressing them.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Kadri Sir was respectfully felicitated by Prof. Dr. Prafulla Chavate Sir, Principal of Navjeevan Law College, for his valuable academic contribution. The program was thoughtfully organized and coordinated by Associate Prof. Dr. S. N. Chavan Sir, LL.M. Coordinator.

The session proved to be highly enriching and interactive, equipping students with practical insights into research writing and methodology. It motivated LL.M. scholars to pursue their academic projects with greater precision and scholarly rigor. Overall, the lecture was a significant step towards enhancing the research culture at Navjeevan Law College, Nashik.
