Guest lecture on “Professional ethics & Contempt of court “

Guest Lecture Organized at Navjeevan Law College, Nashik for LL.B 2 nd year & B.A.LL.B 4th year students on the topic “Professional ethics & Contempt of court”. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Rahul Ballal Sir, Asst. Professor at NDMVP Law College, Nashik, on 15 Sept 2025.

The objective of the Subject is to acquaint the students as to (a) legal profession in India during – ancient, medieval and modern period, (b) professional ethics or duties, (c) study how digital technologies are being used in court processes, case management, and legal proceedings, (d) equip students with the skills to navigate

and utilize e-Court platforms and tools effectively, (e) the provisions of the Advocate Act, 1961, and (f) the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

Thus, the objective of this lecture is to inculcate ethics with legal skills among the law students by the integration of ethical considerations with legal skills such as client communication, advocacy, and negotiation. Besides this is meant to provide hands on experiences through important judicial decision on professional misconduct and contempt of courts.

On this occasion, Prof. Rahul Ballal Sir was respectfully felicitated by Prof. Makrand Pande Sir, for his valuable academic contribution. The program was thoughtfully organized and coordinated by Prof. Himani Deshpande ma’am, Assistant Professor at Navjeevan law college, Nashik.

The session proved to be highly enriching and interactive, equipping students with practical insights of Advocacy. It motivated LL.B. scholars to pursue their academic projects with greater precision and scholarly rigor. Overall, the lecture was a significant step towards enhancing the practical approach towards Advocacy.

The lecture was anchored by Asst. Prof. Himani Deshpande ma’am, while the vote of thanks was gracefully delivered by LL.B 2 nd year student Anuja Karpe. Special Thanks goes to Principal Dr. Prafulla Chavate sir, Prof. Dr. Samir Chavan sir, whose efforts were instrumental in ensuring the success of the program.

The program was attended by 95 students and all faculty members.
